Golfers in the Lake Havasu area play to beat the risks and challenges of the golf course, and to enjoy the rewards of the natural surroundings as they play. The seven golf courses designed for owners of Lake Havasu real estate provide the challenges surrounded by uniquely beautiful natural landscapes. Each course offers something different to any casual or serious player.
The Refuge Golf and Country Club has two 18 hole courses. The newest one was designed by Arnold Palmer and is known for generous fairways and uncommon beauty. There are desert, mountain and lake views everywhere you move. This private club, part of a community of homes being developed for fulltime and seasonal residents, borders the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge. The elegantly appointed club house hosts a variety of social events. There is a Member for a Day program that extends access for up to ten days for vacationing players.
The Courses at London Bridge Country Club have a goal of helping you have fun developing a passion for golf. They strive to be sure that all golfers of all levels improve and have fun. The Old London par 71 course has a number of water hazards and bunkers to test the player, and long views across the lake to the mountains. The Nassau course offers narrow fairways and elevation changes with views of Lake Havasu and the city. Memberships are available to suit many situations, ranging from a monthly pass to unlimited golf.
Havasu Island Golf Club is a public 18 hole course designed by Red Lawrence. Play under the sun and palm trees but be careful of the water hazards that are a prominent feature here. Or play a fast nine holes at Bridgewater Links where the longest tee is par three and the view is of Lake Havasu right beside you.
Emerald Canyon Golf Club has been called “a jewel in the desert”. Golf Digest has given it a four star rating. Many golfers say the course tested their skill and they can’t wait to get back. Imagine playing through a canyon with rock and sandy slopes on either side. You can finish a hole surrounded by a series of cliffs and mountains as far as you can see. First time players may have a hard time keeping their focus on the game. Emerald Canyon also has a driving range, practice bunker and offers rental clubs.
